    President

    Cynthia McCaleb Gore, Class of 73, is a retired Obstetrician and Gynecologist in Birmingham. She has been a long term member of the Board of Advisors, served for two terms as first Vice President of the JCAA, was a co-founder of the Guidance Counselor Conference at Judson, and was named Outstanding Alumna of the Year in 2013. Cynthia is married to Ira Gore, a medical oncologist, and is the mother of two and grandmother of five.

    Vice President

    Laurie B. Gruenloh is a 1990 graduate of Judson College with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Piano Performance, and a minor in Journalism. Much of her professional career has been in Public Relations Management and Marketing positions with South Baldwin Regional Medical Center and two BellSouth entities. She was also a former Executive Director for the Central Baldwin Chamber of Commerce.

    Her civic organizational service includes former Chairmanships for Baldwin Youth Services, Inc., of Baldwin County; the American Red Cross, Mobile/South Alabama Regional Area; American Cancer Society of Baldwin County; Women's Advisory Committee, South Baldwin Regional Medical Center; Baldwin County Music Teachers Association; Baldwin County Strawberry Festival; and Co-Chair of the Baldwin Baron’s Ball in addition to participation with other community fundraising events.

    Laurie currently resides with her husband Wayne in Silverhill, AL, and is President of the LBG Piano Studio. She serves as church pianist and Hospitality Coordinator at Grace Fellowship Baptist Church in Robertsdale, AL. She has four step-children, nine grandchildren and enjoys summers at the beach with her family, traveling and the arts.

    Angela Hales

    Secretary & Treasurer

    Angela Hanvey Hales is a 1978 graduate of Judson College with a Bachelor of Science Degree with Distinction in Business. She attended LSU Law School and graduated from University of Louisiana Monroe in 1980 with a MBA.

    Angela taught business at ULM 1979-80. In June, 1980 thru June, 1984 she worked at State Farm Insurance Regional office in Monroe, LA as a management trainee and supervisor in the Accounting Dept.

    Since 1984, Angela has been self employed as a real estate manager. She has also served as CFO for Triarch Communications. For 10 years, Angela was a NFL player agent.

    Currently, she serves as President of the Board of Phoenix All Suites in Gulf Shores, AL. She also serves on the advisory council for the mayor of Orange Beach, AL.

    Angela is active in the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, National Society Daughters of the Colonial Wars, National Society Daughters of the American Colonists, and PEO Sisterhood.

    Angela and her husband, Myrt live in Rayville, LA where Myrt has practiced law since 1979. They have 2 children and 5 grandchildren.

    Rhonda Caver Lewis

    Rhonda Caver Lewis graduated from Judson College in 1974 with a B.A. degree in Elementary Education and Sociology. She retired after 33 years as a teacher and administrator. She presently works in schools around Alabama as an Academic Specialist with an online program. Rhonda Lewis has served as East Central Alabama Chapter President, 2nd Vice President and President of the JCAA Executive Board. She was honored in 2015 with the Judson College Loyalty Award. Rhonda was the creator of the Alumnae Ambassadors and served on the committee for the Guidance Counselor Conferences. Rhonda Lewis is married to Jerry Lewis and lives in Sylacauga, Alabama. She has two sons, a daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren. She is a member of Mignon Baptist Church.

    Mandy Calvert

    Mandy Mauk Calvert graduated from Judson College in 1986 with a B.S. Degree in Business and a concentration in Accounting. A year after graduation, she began her five-year career as a Judson College Admissions Counselor inspiring other young woman to attend the college she loved so much because of the advanced education offered, leadership opportunities and other unique aspects that encouraged the maturity of young women personally and professionally. For the next 20 years, Mandy worked as the Vice President of Accounting for Mauk Advertising Specialties, a family business. She currently manages her husband’s counseling practice, Calvert + Associates, and recently became a Life Coach and a Certified Career Direct Consultant assisting people in their personal career development and transitions. Mandy is married to Adam Calvert and resides in Birmingham, Alabama. They have 2 sons and are looking forward to adding a new daughter-in-law in the near future.

    Shamim Sisson

    A graduate of Judson’s Class of 1971, Shamim Sisson enjoyed a long and rewarding career in higher education administration in the field of student affairs. Now retired from the University of Virginia, she held previous appointments at Auburn University, Valdosta State University, and Randolph-Macon Woman’s College. She has longstanding professional interests in women’s education, communication between men and women, leadership development, and interracial and intercultural understanding. Shamim lives in Charlottesville, VA with her husband Jim Cooper, professor emeritus at the University of Virginia. An avid traveler, her retirement has included two voyages on the faculty of Semester at Sea, studying and making art, serving as a volunteer and board member with the Charlottesville/Albemarle Emergency Food Network, and spending time with family, including three step-children, their spouses, and three grandchildren.
